26. Detroit Lions

50. The Detroit Lions have done it by the skin of their teeth, but they now lead the NFC North division. They do this despite having what appears to be a rather average team outside of some really good pieces like Matthew Stafford. The defense in particular isn’t one to scare anybody. They rank 18th in the NFL against the pass and allow 22 points per game. Both of those stats could stand to be improved and adding another quality cornerback would help.
Their recent loss was unfortunate but doesn’t erase the fact that Washington has some high quality prospects worth checking out. Sidney Jones sits atop that list. The young corner doesn’t quite have the same ball skills as former Huskies alum Marcus Peters, but he’s got the same mix of size, speed and athleticism. He sticks with receivers down the field and does a solid job of trying to play the football in the air. He will make a good compliment to Darius Slay.
. CB. Washington. Sidney Jones . 26. player
