4. Carolina Panthers

87. People have asked what is wrong with the Carolina Panthers for weeks. This is a team that was 15-1 last season. Now they’re very much in danger of finishing with a losing record. For those who don’t believe in the Super Bowl hangover, there is little more compelling evidence than this. As far as what the root of the problem is, most of it center on how toothless their defense has suddenly become. To date they have just 12 sacks on the year. That won’t get it done in the NFL.
So as solutions go, their timeliness is impeccable. Jonathan Allen is one of the most consistent, dependable edge rushers in this draft class. He may not have the flash of Garrett but he is no less difficult to stop. His mixture of size, power, quickness and a hot motor make life difficult beyond words for blockers. A man his size should not be able to move that well. Allen can bring a rush from the inside or outside. A true mauler who can win a variety of different ways.
. DE. Alabama.
