31. Green Bay Packers

Michigan. Jake Butt . 31. player. 49. The Green Bay Packers are still finding ways to win, so the panic is never all that serious regarding their issues. Yet the problems haven’t gone away. For weeks they’ve tried finding ways to open up the offense, make it more explosive for Aaron Rodgers. Thus far they’ve met with minimal success. Part of the issue is they still haven’t found a definitive target who can attack the middle of the field at tight end. Richard Rodgers hasn’t worked out. Jared Cook didn’t do much. Maybe it’s time for the direct approach.
Jake Butt can help an offense in several ways. During the early part of his college career he became a steady, dependable blocker for the Wolverines. Over the past year though he’s blossomed into a legitimate pass target. Not a surprise given how much Jim Harbaugh loves than position. Butt is tall, athletic and can make tough catches regardless of the coverage. A player who never has to come off the field regardless of play call. He’ll open up the middle of the field for Rodgers.
. TE
