2. San Francisco 49ers

2. player. 42. Now word is beginning to percolate that Chip Kelly might jump ship in 2017. It’s hard to know if that’s true. Wouldn’t he have just left for college this past off-season if he was so anxious to get back there? Regardless, he knows the primary issue facing the San Francisco 49ers is the quarterback position. Blaine Gabbert and Colin Kaepernick are failed experiments. This team sorely needs a fresh start under center. Hopefully this time Kelly finds somebody who can make his offense work.
Getting Deshone Kizer at #2 would qualify as a pretty solid addition. The Notre Dame quarterback has gone through a rough patch of late, but not all of that is his fault. He’s shown that when he’s reasonably protected his can shred defenses with his dual-threat capability. Kizer looks like an NFL passer, able to fire strikes 50-60 yards down the field. On top of that he turns into a true runner when he decides to tuck the ball. All he has to do is learn to maintain his focus under pressure, something that should come with time.
. QB. Notre Dame. Deshone Kizer
