Knowing the Chicago Bears are 1-6, their worst start since 1997, really hurts. What hurts more is that injuries have robbed them from playing their best.

It really is laughable how banged up this team has been. Their top two quarterbacks are out. The starting running back and two of the starting receivers are out. Both their best offensive guards are now out. On defense the top four cornerbacks on the depth chart are out. The best defensive lineman they have is out and several of their linebackers have all missed significant time.

Fans have looked every which way for scapegoats. Who is to blame for this recurring problem? It must be this awful training staff. They have no clue how to prevent such problems. Or no it’s the head coach. His methodology and style have led to this problem getting worse. Wait, it has to be the general manager. He picked or signed many of these players. How could he not see they’d have these problems?

In truth none of those are really the source of this issue. As it turns out what people are witnessing is the coming-to-fruition of a warning put out by many experts five years. The truth is there is no one man or staff responsible for the Bears’ pains. It goes much higher than that.
