Blake Bortles isn’t at a point yet where he is ready to carry a team on his back. He was the beneficiary of a few brakes in Chicago but once again got little help from his running game. T.J. Yeldon is proving ineffective and free agent signing Chris Ivory isn’t much better. This offense is still very much one dimensional. That doesn’t bode well for long-term success in the win column. It also doesn’t help Gus Bradley get his defense on track as he’s trying so hard to do.

A running game is critical to helping both problems. If Yeldon and Ivory aren’t the answer, then the Jaguars need to go find one. Having loaded up their roster with young talent already, they can afford to be more aggressive in the draft. That explains why they jump up the board to grab LSU beast Leonard Fournette. Some are concerned about his health, but when this guy is on the field he’s a nightmare to stop. Big, strong, elusive and deceptively fast. The total package for that position.
