4. San Francisco 49ers

Chip Kelly is sticking with Colin Kaepernick. Odds are he’ll finish out the season as the starter for the San Francisco 49ers. Partly by choice but also because there really aren’t any other options open to them. Odds are this team won’t get much better down the stretch. That means Kelly could be forced to make a decision. Does he try to give Kaepernick more time or does he go for a fresh start at quarterback? He’s never done that in the draft before, so it would be quite the momentous occasion.
Kelly made a killing at Oregon when he had quarterbacks who could move and get the ball out fast. That is the cornerstone of what makes Deshaun Watson so dangerous. He’s an excellent athlete and is positively deadly when allowed to run an up-tempo offense. Give him a running game and decent protection and he’ll pick defenses apart. There is no question Kelly could overflow with possible idea if he had a talent like Watson under center.

. QB.
