3. New York Jets (via CHI)

QB. Notre Dame. Deshone Kizer . 3. player. 30. Anybody with eyeball probably wishes they’d gouged them out after watching the horrow show that was the New York Jets offense on Monday Night Football. Ryan Fitzpatrick has lost every bit of magic he had last year. Geno Smith once again proved he’s no better option. Suddenly this franchise is faced with a major decision. Is their future quarterback on the roster? Christian Hackenberg was a 2nd round pick but he was a project before his name was even called. The Jets need to decide if they believe he can be the real deal.
Odds are they won’t. Instead they make a deal to jump up two spots and grab Notre Dame standout Deshone Kizer. People aren’t sure how to feel about him. He’s an immense physical talent with size, arm strength, mobility and a level head on his shoulder. Yet he continues to suffer from rampant inconsistent. Is it him or the coach he plays under? The Jets are willing to gamble it’s the latter. Kizer has the potential to be great. He just needs a stable system built to help him succeed.
