4. San Francisco 49ers

Deshaun Watson . 4. player. 42. The San Francisco 49ers must be cringing at this moment. To think this is a franchise that used to define the quarterback position with names like Joe Montana and Steve Young. Now they’re reduced to putting guys like Blaine Gabbert and Colin Kaepernick out there is a little sad. Gabbert has wasted what is likely his last opportunity. Kaepernick is merely playing out the string on his overpriced contract. Everything points to the 49ers starting fresh in 2017. Music to the ears of Chip Kelly.
Especially when they end up with Deshaun Watson. The Clemson star is not a fit for every offense, but his skill set could be ideal for Kelly’s up-tempo style. Watson is a dual-threat type who can make things happen with his feet. While not possessing the strongest arm, he’s got enough juice to take shots down the field. He also knows how to get the ball out fast. If he can avoid too many erratic passes, there is no question he can thrive under Kelly.
. QB. Clemson
