Steelers receiver factory spits out another one

If there will ever be a legacy to look back on for Pittsburgh Steelers GM Kevin Colbert, it will be his uncanny eye for wide receiver talent. It started years ago with guys like Hines Ward and Plaxico Burris. Then it was the era of Santonio Holmes and Mike Wallace. Shortly after that Antonio Brown came to the forefront with all his superstar moves. Now it seems the Steelers have churned yet another big play talent out off the assembly line.

The New York Jets had no answers for Sammie Coates in this game. Their secondary was torched for 139 yards and two touchdowns on six catches. What actually makes that look even worse is the fact Coates dropped a number of others that would’ve inflated the total even further. If he’s able to continue beyond this performance, it’s just a further embarrassment of riches for Ben Roethlisberger and that offense. Just imagine if their defense continues to improve.
