Texans project is beginning to crumble

On paper it looked like the Houston Texans had everything they needed in place to make a run to at least a conference championship game. They already had a defense and free agency brought loads of help on offense including a savior for the quarterback position. Instead Brock Osweiler has looked more and more like an imposter every day. A man who took advantage of a decent run in Denver to collect a big contract. To date he has 1,133 yards, six touchdown passes and seven interceptions.

For what it’s worth the man he replaced, Brian Hoyer, has 1,094 yards with six touchdown passes and zero interceptions. He’s also played one fewer game this year. Hoyer may not have been a world beater, but at least he understood what to do with the football. Now J.J. Watt is gone and even the defense can’t cover up the problem anymore. This team may still end up with the division, but it’s proving to be yet another false promise for Houston fans.
