Jason Garrett deserves Coach of the Year consideration

It’s time to insert another name into the ever growing competition for Coach of the Year. Most have felt that Mike Zimmer is the runaway favorite. It’s a fair argument but also overshadows the tremendous job Jason Garrett has done for the Dallas Cowboys. Her is a man who saw his entire pass rush get suspended and then his starting quarterback badly injure his back. Those losses would’ve killed other teams but Garrett has found a way to work around the problem.

Now the Cowboys are 4-1 on the season and tied for the NFC East lead. All with a rookie quarterback in Dak Prescott and rookie running back in Ezekiel Elliott. Some people don’t understand how hard that is to do with just one or the other. Both? Almost impossible. Mark it down. By the end of the year Garrett will be viewed as one of the biggest threats for Coach of the Year honors. Don’t be surprised if it’s settled between the Vikings and Cowboys in the playoffs.
