Trades:

Jimmy Garoppolo

By far the most popular trade target set for 2017. The former 2nd round pick played very well in his two starts for the New England Patriots. His efficient approach and lightning quick release have some believing he’s destined to become a starter. The question is do the Patriots plan for him to do that in New England? Tom Brady isn’t going to surrender the job willingly, so they may decide to just ship Garoppolo out with his value high.

A.J. McCarron

For a moment it looked like A.J. McCarron might just steal the starting job from Andy Dalton with the Cincinnati Bengals. Then a series of events out of his control ruined it. Now he’s a backup against, wondering when his next shot is coming. People can’t forget McCarron won two national titles in college. He’s known for being a game manager but has proven he can make big plays when he has to. Some team should be willing to give him that opportunity.
