Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns as the Rebels rolled over the Georgia Bulldogs early.

Kelly connected with tight end Evan Engram and wide receiver DeMarkus Lodge, while also carrying one in himself.

The senior quarterback also led his team in rushing yards with 53 over just four carries.

On defense the Ole Miss front seven stuffed Nick Chubb and Sony Michel. Chubb managed just 57 yards on the ground, while Michel had 66. Georgia quarterback Jacob Eason was just 16/36 for 137 yards and one interception.

Both Georgia and Ole Miss struggled to convert on third down. The Bulldogs were just 4-16 on third downs, while Ole Miss was 2-9.

Ole Miss has been able to stay relevant in the college football landscape despite losing key players on both sides of the ball. Robert Nkemdiche, Laremy Tunsil, Laquon Treadwell, Cody Core, and Fahn Cooper were all drafted last year.

Despite controlling the clock and holding possession for nearly 12 minutes longer, Georgia finished with 396 total yards in the loss.

Ole Miss will certainly move up in the AP rankings, and will host the Memphis Tigers. Georgia has a very tough schedule down the stretch with Tennessee coming to town on October 1.
