After a brief moratorium placed by the NFL, fans can now once again use the name Harambe on customized jerseys

Do you have $300 burning in your pocket? Do you like football? Do you for some unknown reason care about a gorilla that was euthanized several months ago? Then you too can have a Harambe jersey.

The inexplicable obsession of Harambe the gorilla is now entering the world of sports. While Harambe may be gone, fans have found several creative ways to commemorate him.

Probably the most expensive option you could have is buying a custom NFL jersey with Harambe on the name plate.

In fact, so many fans were ordering Harambe jerseys (especially as a Bengals uniform) that the NFL added the word Harambe to its list of unusable names for custom jerseys.

But after realizing how much money they could make off a ridiculous fad, the NFL removed Harambe’s name from the blacklist.

A custom NFL jersey can range anywhere from $75 for a youth size, all the way up to $300 for the real deal. I have no idea why anyone would want to spend $300 on a custom made Harambe jersey, but hey, it’s not my money.

Major League Baseball, the NHL, and NBA are also allowing the customized jerseys to sport Harambe’s name.
