Fantasy Football Replacements for Keenan Allen
If you have Keenan Allen on your fantasy team, you probably drafted him within the first two rounds. Losing a player in fantasy this early in the season (let alone a high draft pick) is the worst way to start out a season.
Here’s some options available in most fantasy leagues you can add to replace Keenan Allen.
Will Fuller, Houston Texans

Despite having bricks for hands, Texans rookie Will Fuller had a very good NFL debut. The former Notre Dame star had 107 receiving yards and a touchdown, racking up 21 points in most standard ESPN fantasy football leagues. With DeAndre Hopkins expected to draw the safety’s attention, Fuller could have a sea of green in front of him every week. He has the chance to be a consistent scoring machine, helping out fantasy owners every week.
Tajae Sharpe, Tennessee Titans
Unless you closely followed the NFL Draft this year, you probably never heard of Tajae Sharpe. The wide receiver out of UMass seemed to be everyones’ sleeper pick, both at the draft and in fantasy. He’s already developed a strong chemistry with Marcus Mariota, hauling in seven catches over 76 yards.
Sharpe is available in 44% of ESPN fantasy football leagues, and should be an easy waiver wire addition.
Victor Cruz, New York Giants
After missing nearly two seasons with leg injuries, Victor Cruz is dancing back into our lives. With tremendous talent surrounding him such as Odell Beckham Jr and Sterling Shepard, Cruz can be the sneaky receiver who jumps out of nowhere and gives you some big stats. In his first game back from injury he scored a touchdown, and also had three more catches from Eli Manning.
Victor Cruz is still available in 64% of ESPN fantasy leagues.
Travis Benjamin, San Diego Chargers
While not a great name to add, Travis Benjamin will now become Philip Rivers’ favorite target in San Diego. The Chargers didn’t have a lot of depth to start this season, making Keenan Allen’s injury even more devastating. Benjamin can be a low risk-high reward addition, but he shouldn’t be at the top of your waiver wire.
John Brown, Arizona Cardinals
Despite a poor opening game, John Brown is one of the most electric young wide receivers in football. The fact that he’s available in 11% of ESPN fantasy football leagues is ridiculous. Last season he had 1,000 receiving yards with seven touchdowns, both career-highs for the sophomore wideout.
With blazing speed, Brown can score a touchdown on any play. If he’s available, grab him now.
