31. Green Bay Packers

Ohio State. Pat Elflein . 31. player. 49. GM Ted Thompson was forced into a difficult decision when he allowed Pro Bowl guard Josh Sitton to walk as a free agent. This leaves career backup Lane Taylor as his replacement. Not the best scenario if protecting Aaron Rodgers remains their focus. So don’t be surprised when the Packers are quick to find a replacement in the draft and they would earn the highest marks from experts if they were to land Ohio State standout Pat Elflein.
As incredible as the 2016 Ohio State class was, Elflein may have been one of the best players on that roster. His decision not to declare means he’s almost certain to be a 1st round pick. He is the best interior lineman in the class, able to play guard or center. A determined run blocker who rountinely opens holes for backs while also showing plenty of pop with his hands in pass protection. Expect him to start from day one wherever he ends up.
. OG
