18. Philadelphia Eagles (via MIN)

Stanford. Christian McCaffrey . 18. player. 54. GM Howie Roseman has really put a stamp on the Philadelphia Eagles roster in 2016, executing a series of bold and unexpected trades that have remade the depth chart almost entirely. It almost cost the team a 1st round pick in 2017 thanks to their move up to grab Carson Wentz #2 overall, but the opportunistic dealing of Sam Bradford to Minnesota changed that. Now the Eagles are free to add another strong piece to their new puzzle.
One area they weren’t able to figure out was running back. Ryan Mathews can’t be seen as a long-term options and none of the others on the roster could become true feature backs. Doug Pederson likes to run the football in order to protect his quarterbacks so Christian McCaffrey makes a ton of sense. He’s a strong runner who can break tackles but is known even more for his versatility. He can catches passes and is deadly in the open field.
. RB
