Poor coaching decisions

Most will believe this is exclusively for John Fox. It is not but he’s not escaping the blame. He explained his puzzling challenge of a Will Fuller catch late in the game was more of an extended timeout. That’s fine since it makes some sense and the game was already decided, but he doesn’t get a free pass for not challenging two other plays back when things were still in the balance. The first was the touchdown catch by Hopkins.

Replays appear to show that he landed out of bounds with his elbow without getting a second foot down. That warranted a second look. Later on Osweiler attempted a quarterback sneak on 3rd and short to extend a drive. Everything showed that the Bears defense stopped him short of the 1st down but the refs gave it to them. Fox later explained challenging spots rarely worked, but at such a pivotal momentum of the game he should’ve taken the chance because the angles were clear.
