Is Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston underrated heading into year two? Why you should be high on the former Heisman Trophy winner…

For the first time in years, it seems like the buzz around quarterback Jameis Winston is uncharacteristically quiet.

Too quiet…

It seems like it wasn’t that long ago that Winston was a Heisman Trophy winning quarterback at Florida State, but he’s already entering his second season in the NFL and looks like one of the most improved players in the league. Not everyone is quiet on Winston, but he has been pretty low-key having a great offseason, camp, and now preseason.

Okay, so it hasn’t been silent this offseason regarding the Buccaneers’ sophomore standout, but compared to some of the other national storylines we have going on in football right now, Winston is sort of flying under the radar.

At this point, I think the Bucs will take it.

After making wholesale changes to the organization and drafting Winston, there were some exciting moments last season as Winston sort of grew and learned while on the job. He showed poise and came back from mistakes confident, cool, collected…

This is a player who looks like a future superstar in this league, and his ascent may wind up being much quicker than some anticipated. He has looked phenomenal this preseason and it’s time more people outside of Tampa Bay acknowledge it.
