CON:  Soldier Field might be cursed

For those who might not be keeping track, the Chicago Bears have not won a game at home in Soldier Field since October 4th of 2015. So it’s drawing dangerously close to being a full calendar year since fans have seen their favorite team win a game in their favorite city. The Bears were 1-7 at home last year. Their 0-2 mark in the preseason, punctuated by a total of seven points scored does little to convince anybody that this team is prepared to regain command of that building.

PRO:  Season starts on the road

At the same time the run of solid performances on the road continue. By far the best outing the Bears have had in the preseason came when they visited New England. Last year they were 5-3 away from home and it seems the ability of John Fox and his staff to get them prepared for visiting hostile stadiums hasn’t changed. The even better news is they start 2016 with two of their first three games on the road. First up is the opener in Houston and then a visit to Dallas in week three.
