Vinny Curry (Philadelphia Eagles)
There may not be a happier man in the Philadelphia Eagles locker room about the arrival of new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz than Vinny Curry. For the past few years he has made due as a 3-4 defensive end who provided some pass rush value. Now that the team is switch to a 4-3, his talent is finally in sync with what they’re trying to do. Curry is a great fit for their defensive end position given his body types and style.
Schwartz has a long history of maximizing defensive lineman and Curry figures to be his latest project. There is no doubt Fletcher Cox will be a stud, but in order for that Eagles front to take off they need Curry to emerge as not just a starter but a solid one. One must not forget he had nine sacks in 2014. The capability has always been there for him to thrive. It was a just a matter of finding the right circumstances. No doubt this should be his best season.
