NFL Players Most Likely To Reach 1st Pro Bowl In 2016
By Erik Lambert
Ryan Tannehill (Miami Dolphins)
Cynical Miami Dolphins fans will laugh at this idea considering they’ve waited three season already and Ryan Tannehill hasn’t shown enough to offer belief he’s Pro Bowl-worthy in their eyes. The numbers though tell a different story. He has thrown for over 4,000 yards in two-straight seasons while doubling his touchdown-to-interception ratio (51 to 24). To top it off, he did it despite being sacked a total of 91 times over that span. Not a bad accomplishment under difficult circumstances.
It hasn’t helped he’s playing in the same division as Tom Brady, but this feels like it could be his breakout year. For starters he has an array of promising weapons headlined by receivers Jarvis Landry and DeVante Parker. Then there is the arrival of head coach Adam Gase, one of the more respected offensive minds in the NFL. He did wonders for Peyton Manning in Denver and then Jay Cutler in Chicago. His impact on Tannehill should be immediate and extensive.
