Mitchell Schwartz (Kansas City Chiefs)

There was a reason the Kansas City Chiefs made a strong push to sign Mitchell Schwartz in free agency. Last year showed it. He’s matured into a capable offensive tackle. According to Pro Football Focus he finished as the 7th best overall blocker at his position in 2015. Keeping in mind he did this for the hapless Cleveland Browns. That makes it all the more impressive. Now put him in an offense run by Andy Reid with talent around him like Jeremy Maclin, Travis Kelce, and Jamaal Charles and it will be a chance to finally shine.

That being said it was a tough competition for placement on this list. Outside linebacker Dee Ford was a name considered. Given the shaky health situation of Justin Houston, the former 1st round pick finally figured to get extensive playing time as a starter. Then there was “other” safety Ron Parker. Though Eric Berry gets the attention, it was he who had the better numbers last season with 78 tackles, five sacks, and three interceptions.
