30. Arizona Cardinals

32. Trading for Carson Palmer has proven to be a very smart move looking back for the Arizona Cardinals, but also one with a short shelf> It’s hard to say how much gas he has left in the tank to get this team to a Super Bowl at age 36 (turns 37 in December). Speculation has continued for what the team will consider finding an eventual replacement. Is it Drew Stanton. Matt Barkley? Jake Coker? It’s difficult to see any of them making the leap beyong primary backup at this point. Odds say the Cardinals seek out an answer early next year.
Bruce Arians never fears a challenge if he believes the talent of the player is worth the risk. That would make Chad Kelly his kind of guy. Tremendous arm talent, athletic, intelligent and by all accounts a very self-assured young man. Cocky in other words. It’s that attitude that has gotten him in trouble at times and is why teams are still somewhat skeptical of where he is in his development. That’s a big reason he chose to return to Ole Miss. Even so, don’t expect Arians to wither in fear at the prospect of having to coach him up. Few are better at stamping out immaturity than him.
. QB. Ole Miss. Chad Kelly . 30. player
