19. Houston Texans

10. Injuries not withstanding, there is plenty to like about the Houston Texans defense. It has a stout front seven led by the best player in football in J.J. Watt, a trio of quality cornerbacks and a respective defensive coordinator in Romeo Crennel. If there was one area to pick out that can be considered the weakness of the unit, it would have to be safety. It’s just a fact since they have a journeyman free agent and former 7th round pick as their projected starters.
Jamal Adams would flip that script almost overnight. People may see him as just another quality defensive back to come out of LSU, but the tape says a lot more than that. Adams is a talented young player. He’s shows his strength as a tackler, isn’t afraid to hit, can make plays on the football in coverage but what stands out most about him is the instinct. Adams always seems to know where the ball is going. That is something the Texans haven’t had on the back end of their defense in some time.
. S. LSU. Jamal Adams . 19. player
