17. New York Jets

player. 30. Darrelle Revis remains the shutdown corner he’s been for years, but for how much longer? He’s into his 30s now and admitted a move to safety is coming. It’s just a matter of time. Buster Skrine showed he could play well for the New York Jets too, but beyond those two it gets a bit trickier. The Jets let Antonio Cromartie walk and there is little proven depth for the team to draw on. Both Dee Milliner and Dexter McDougle have been disappointments due to injury.
That is why the selection of Desmond King shouldn’t surprise anybody. The Iowa corner showed in 2015 just how prolific he could be with eight interceptions. He probably would’ve been a 1st round pick in this past draft but elected to finish his degree as a promise to his family. Thus he should arrive in the NFL a little smarter and a little more mature. New York won’t complain about that, especially given the chance to learn from one of the best in the business.
. CB. Iowa. Desmond King . 17
