Karlos Williams Waived by Buffalo: Top Five Landing Spots for the Running Back
Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns have had very little luck drafting for years. They spent a high pick on Trent Richardson, and he turned into one of the largest busts in modern-day draft history.
Duke Johnson was taken high last season by Cleveland, but failed to find the endzone with limited snaps. He’s currently listed as the number two back behind Isaiah Crowell, a mediocre UDFA who saw time on the field last year.
In order to protect their new starter Robert Griffin III, Cleveland will have to spread the ball out and keep him out of harms way. Handing the ball off to Karlos Williams could help the Browns do just that.
Additionally, Cleveland will have two first round draft picks thanks to the trade made with Philadelphia for the number two overall pick. They can forgo drafting a running back high with Williams on the roster, and focus on finding a franchise quarterback and studs on defense.
