2017 NFL Trade Market: Garoppolo Leads Strong QB Crop
By Erik Lambert
When the draft doesn’t yield results, sometimes teams look to the NFL trade market for help at the quarterback position. Already 2017 is looking like a huge year.
Normally there might be one or two names who might garner serious interest but based on preseason performances thus far, as well as the situations with the teams they’re, it could be a rather rich off-season of names on the move in deals. Among the most recent moves that offer some idea into what can be expected involve the Rams sending Sam Bradford to the Eagles in exchange for Nick Foles.
That move seemed to work out more for Philadelphia since, for the time being, Bradford remains the starter. Foles has since been cut by Los Angeles and ended up with the Chiefs. There is also the Oakland Raiders sending Carson Palmer to the Cardinals for a 7th round draft pick. A decision that has paid huge dividends for Arizona. So like any other position, quarterback trades have varying degrees of success.
This list covers the most prominent names who are positioning themselves to become hot commodities going into next off-season.
