Injury Update:

Zach Miller (TE)

After a lengthy absence due to a concussion, the Bears’ starting tight end was back at practiced in a limited fashion. That at least was the good news. The fact that he wasn’t in full pads yet would signal he’s probably not going to play in New England as a precaution.

Eddie Royal (WR)

Like Miller, the veteran receiver has been dealing with a persistent concussion issue. Royal continues to struggle health-wise dating back to when he signed with the Bears. He hasn’t practiced for almost two weeks so he’s likely not going to play this week and there has been no indication about when he might be back.

Kyle Fuller (CB)

The fact that the Bears left him behind in Chicago to evaluate a nagging knee soreness that has persisted for some time is all the information needed to know that Fuller won’t play. Much bigger in scope is just how serious the injury is and whether it could mean a longer absence than expected.

Danny Trevathan (ILB)

Probably the biggest mystery on the injury report is linebacker Danny Trevathan. He’s missed two-straight practices with a knee problem and it’s unclear where, when and how it came about. John Fox insists the lack of practicing was the veteran getting some time off, but his unusual absence raises questions.

Pernell McPhee (OLB)

Status quo is the best way to describe the McPhee situation. He’s slowly been working his way back from off-season knee surgery and it’s clear the team is in no hurry to rush him. Every indication is their end game is to have him ready for opening day in Houston, though even that is in question at this point.
