Then there is the fact he’s going to try accomplishing that feat with either a former backup as his starter at quarterback or a rookie. The Los Angeles Rams have a solid defense and a great running back but it’s been under center where they’ve continued lag behind the rest of the NFC West.
<p>One of the lingering problems attributing to that is the wide receivers. Tavon Austin is fast, but that’s about all he is. Over and over again he’s shown too much inconsistency to be a reliable target. Kenny Britt has never realized his full potential, nor has Brian Quick. Maybe the team hopes the threat of Gurley and arrival of Jared Goff will change that.
