While the rookie quarterback flashed the ability that made him the #2 overall pick in the draft, he also left his first preseason game with fractured ribs. One of the biggest teaching points for new head coach Doug Pederson is showing the kid how to help protect himself from further unnecessary hits. Aside from that the Philadelphia Eagles remain a work in progress. <p>Make no mistake there is some talent on this team, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Assuming Jim Schwartz has not lost his edge, that unit is going to play quite well in 2016. It comes down to what Pederson can do with Sam Bradford and an offense that is still searching for an identity, as well as a star playmaker or two they can feed. Will Zach Ertz or Nelson Agholor be the ones to step up? Much of it depends on who fits the new offense best.</p>.
