That in itself is an adjustment that almost always doesn’t bring immediate success. Chip Kelly may or may not turn things around but he is not inheriting the same promising situation he did three years ago in Philadelphia. The San Francisco 49ers are a young team in transition that still appear to have holes and question marks he’ll have to sort through. <p>By far the biggest is at quarterback. The battle between Blaine Gabbert and Colin Kaepernick is the one that will decide the future of this team, at least for the 2016 season. Most people are divided on who it should be. Some feel Gabbert earned his chance with some solid performances last season, while others still believe Kaepernick can regain the form that took the 49ers to a Super Bowl in 2012. It will come down to whom Kelly feels can better execute his system.</p>.
