10. player. 56. At some point there is going to be a fork in the road for the Cincinnati Bengals. Obviously they can’t keep going to the playoffs and losing the first game every year. Either they’ll finally get over the hump or they’ll crumble. Talent hasn’t been their problem, and since they insist Marvin Lewis is the man they want at head coach they have to hold out hope that Andy Dalton can finally mature and learn how to handle playing in big games.
It won’t be easier this year. While the defense remains strong and he has a tremendous running game, a lot of questions linger about his weapons in the passing attack. A.J. Green remains a fixture but Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones are both gone. Tight end Tyler Eifert is also dealing with injury issue. Thus the Bengals are relying on a number of unknowns. Confidence is high they can adjust, but there is zero margin for error in that division.
. . . Cincinnati Bengals
