What’s a community without a spoonful of Southern hospitality? Charming and conniving, Gregory knows how to manipulate negotiations into his favor. Even when Maggie thought she got the better of Gregory during Negan discussions, it was Gregory who knew better all along. He knew such a group would not be able to eliminate the vast outreach of Negan’s immense forces, yet gave no warning.

At worst? He’s right back where he was, at best Negan is no longer an issue for his community. It’s no coincidence Gregory was able to become leader of his group despite not having the fighting ability of some of his residents. Brains over brawn.
