Philadelphia Eagles:  Sam Bradford v. Carson Wentz

While re-signing may not have been the wisest decision for Sam Bradford given what followed, the fact is he has the advantage when it comes to securing the starting job for the Philadelphia Eagles. He’s more experienced, still relatively young and hasn’t lost any velocity in that right arm. Besides that Carson Wentz is still a small school quarterback with limited experience against the speed of NFL defenses. There’s a reason head coach Doug Pederson keeps proclaiming Bradford is their projected starter.

That said it’s important to remember history here. Bradford’s track record of health isn’t exactly spotless. One hit in the wrong area and he could be down for the count before the battle is even settled. Never mind the fact he hasn’t met challenges all that well in the past. Wentz is a talented young passer with a more well-rounded set of tools. He’s shown he has poise on the field and the ability to lead. He knows making a good impression is all it might take to change the Eagles’ minds.

Winner:  Sam Bradford
