Impact Freshmen

A recruiting class that was traveling through “Decommitville” prior to the hiring of Richt caught momentum late in the recruiting process and still was able to produce the 21st best class in the country. Initial contributions by four-star receivers Sam Bruce, Ahmmon Richards, and Dionte Mullins are expected with Bruce being a favorite to winning the job at punt return.

More from ACC

Four-star freshman middle linebacker Shaq Quarterman is currently listed as a starter along with freshman weak-side linebacker Michael Pinckney.

Monitor the name Romeo Finley of Niceville, Florida. The 200 lb safety faces a battle for playing time at the safety position but his athleticism and hard-hitting ability is something Richt may not want to keep on the sideline.

The 6’3 receiver Dayall Harris is another receiver who will see some looks early as well. The junior college transfer has the size that the unit will miss with Cager sidelined. The gem of the entire class, four-star QB Jack Allison, is not expected to see the field in 2016 with an elite QB in Kaaya already in place. However, the future of the program may actually sit squarely on the shoulders of the talented passer out of Palmetto, Florida.
