Predictions

The schedule isn’t daunting but the first month of the season won’t be easy at all for the first time head coach, an offensive line that has concerns and questions about the pass rush for the team. Best case scenario is for either Eason or Ramsey to win the job at QB, Chubb comes back 100% and ready to go early, and for the defense to gel quickly with a new coordinator in Tucker. Even with the annual matchup against Florida in late October and the annual rivalry game against Georgia Tech to end the regular season, the biggest game on the schedule is October 1st against Tennessee, who are the favorites to win the SEC East.

If Georgia can pull of the win, which is in Athens, the SEC East is there for the taking for the Bulldogs. Expectations are about as high as the clouds and Kirby Smart has those expectations sitting squarely on his lap. The return of Chubb can make things easier at this point so the sooner they can get him back, the better. Look for a few true freshmen to make an impact in 2016 and Smart’s tenure gets off to a solid start. If there is one game I see tripping up UGA, it’s against the talented Tennessee Volunteers.

Prediction: 10-2, T-1st in the SEC East
