Impact Freshmen

There’s a freshman on campus that has everyone turning heads. Five-star QB Jacob Eason has intentions on winning the starting job come Week 1 of the 2016 season and his talent can definitely make that happen. Eason is the biggest talent recruited at the position since Matthew Stafford and is the future of the Georgia program. Five-star athlete Mecole Hardman is also an elite playmaker and can very well be a two-way player in 2016. Having Hardman lined up at reciever with Godwin can cause trouble for defenses and Hardman also has the talent to play cornerback as well.

Junior college four-star transfer Javon Wims adds size to a receiver corps that can use it. At 6’4 210 pounds, Wims comes in as the 11th ranked JUCO player in 2016 and can see some early playing time. Four-star running back Elijah Holyfield, son of legendary boxer Evander, comes with the hoopla because of the name but the talent is obviously there for the 204 pound rusher. Smart also has a 6’5 321 pound defensive tackle in Julian Rochester that will be tough to keep on the sidelines. Look for the massive defender to also get early playing time.
