2015 Recap

The best way to describe last season for the Bears is “mixed bag.” On the one hand they only managed to improve their win total from five games to six. On the other, most of their losses were far narrower than in 2014 and this despite playing what turned out to be the hardest schedule in the league. No fewer than seven of their opponents ended up playoff bound that season. So the fact they still managed to improve their record anyway can be considered a sign of progress.

This doesn’t even mention the significant number of injuries they suffered throughout the year. A total of 31 players missed at least one game during the year and a good deal of them missed several. Another problem was Soldier Field. Quite simply the Bears were terrible at home. They finished a dismal 1-7 on their own turf, and that lone win was a last minute comeback against the 7-9 Oakland Raiders. Suffice to say there is plenty to improve upon going into 2016.
