51 days until college football. And a perennial power that was on the decline in recent years is now looking to make it’s return to prominence. They retained their longtime defensive coordinator, Bud Foster, and are bringing in new head coach, Justin Fuente, following a historic stint at Memphis.

They return 16 starters from last season, good for 12th most nationally. The Hokies will more than likely set history this Fall when they play what’s predicted to be the largest attended game in college football history at Bristol Motors Speedway against Tennessee.

The Hokies will fare against the ACC Coastal division where they’ll notably clash against North Carolina, Miami, and Pitt. Following a few disappointing seasons at the tail end of Frank Beamer’s storied career, Fuente’s rise will be a big story surrounding the school for this Fall, and Falls to come.
