Arian Foster Finally Getting NFL Tryouts This Week
The four-time Pro Bowl running back is still looking for a job
Since being cut by the Houston Texans, Arian Foster’s phone has been silent. Despite meeting with teams early in the free agency process, the Texans all-time rushing yards leader is still looking for a home as he recovers from an achillies injury.
According to multiple reports, the soon-to-be 30-year-old will workout for the Miami Dolphins on Monday, and the Detroit Lions later on in the week.
Miami met with Foster earlier in the offseason after seeing Lamar Miller take-over Foster’s roster spot in Houston. Teams such as the Seahawks, Redskins, and Patriots were mentioned as possible landing spots for Foster, but none of those teams have reached out to him as of late.

Foster has only played a full 16 game season once in his career, as injuries have constantly plagued him. After injuring himself in the preseason, Foster played just four games prior to rupturing his achillies tendon. He is nearly seven months removed from his injury, and
in May he would “need another month to be where I want to be and be at that Pro Bowl level.”
Miami drafted Alabama running back Kenyan Drake in the third round of this years draft, and is expected to play former Boise State running back Jay Ajayi. Both Drake and Ajayi bring injury concerns, and are very young NFL players. Having Foster on the team would help more in the clubhouse than on the field.
Through seven NFL seasons, Arian Foster has compiled 6,472 rushing yards and 54 scores on the ground. Both of those numbers are Houston franchise records. Foster also has shown the ability to be a receiving threat and receiver out of the backfield with 14 career receiving touchdowns.
He has been a consummate Pro Bowler, earning three consecutive nods from 2010-2012. He earned his fourth selection just two seasons ago.
