Arizona Cardinals: Will be the #1 seed in the NFC for the 2016 playoffs

If it wasn’t for Cam Newton and the 15-1 Carolina Panthers, the Cardinals would have been the talk of the NFC last season, at the very least. The team went 13-3 and made it all the way to the NFC title game before being sent packing by the Panthers.

Impressively, the team still had success defensively even though they lost their star free safety Tyrann Mathieu to a torn ACL in Week 15 but the Honey Badger should be ready and able come Week 1 of this season. His presence will place another game-breaker on the back-end with a habit for creating turnovers.

Acquiring DE Chandler Jones from the Patriots in March gave the team an ace pass rusher to an already athletic defense.

On the offensive side, the veteran Carson Palmer along with the nucleus of RBs Chris Johnson, David Johnson, Andre Ellington and WRs Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd and John Brown all return to give the Cardinals arguably the best offense in the league. At least an argument can be made on their behalf. The Cardinals are loaded.
