Detroit Lions: Defensive ends Ziggy Ansah & Devin Taylor will combine for 25+ sacks

The retirement of wide receiver Calvin Johnson was a punch to the gut for the Lions and has left the Lions with little direction. Even with a franchise quarterback in Matthew Stafford, things seem to look a little cloudy for the Lions in the near future.

What the Lions do have are a pair of pass rushers in Ansah and Taylor that are sneaky good. Ansah finished third in the NFL this past season with 14.5 sacks and the fourth year pass rusher may be knocking on the door at superstardom. It definitely wouldn’t be a surprise if Ansah surpasses his 2015 sack totals.

As for Taylor, the former South Carolina Gamecock totaled 7.5 sacks last season and contributed in 15 games. Impressively, he earned those sack numbers with no starts last season. Now he is the expected starter heading into training camp and his future is bright now that he will feast off the attention being thrown at Ansah by opposing offenses.
