Minnesota Vikings: QB Teddy Bridgewater will have 4,000+ passing yards and 25+ touchdowns

The Vikings brass took the leap of faith to select Bridgewater with the 32nd pick in the 2014 draft and although the former Louisville quarterback has produced elite numbers, his selection was still the right move for the franchise. Given the fact that he has had little to work with at the wide receiver position during his two seasons, his 3,231 yards and 14 touchdown passes last season was good for the most part

Things may change in 2016. That change begins with the first round selection of Laquan Treadwell in this year’s draft. The 6’3 receiver gives the Vikings offense a legit playmaker at the wide receiver position. Some fellow Vikings receiver Cordarrelle Patterson has not been since being the Vikings first rounder in 2013. Along with Treadwell, the offense has it’s deep threat in Stefon Diggs who led the team in catches (52) and yards (720) last season as a rookie. Diggs posted those numbers while being the primary option in the passing game last season and now may see less coverage with Treadwell and TE Kyle Rudolph (49 catches, 495 yards, 5 TDs) all lined up on the field at once.

Many will point to the presence of Adrian Peterson as a roadblock to Bridgewater putting up these type of numbers and rightfully so. However, the fact that he has two bonafide options at receiver has 2016 as a season for Bridgewater’s numbers to spike.
