Was he the main reason the Pittsburgh Steelers became a dynasty in the 1970s? No. Could they have won four Super Bowls in six seasons without him? No. Terry Bradshaw was the final piece to the puzzle that Steelers team needed and despite a rough start to his NFL career, he eventually became one of the best quarterbacks of the decade. His numbers weren’t always eye-popping, but he seemed to save his best games for when the stakes were highest. Two-straight years he was Super Bowl MVP. <p> </p> <p>A three-time Pro Bowler, he won league MVP honors in 1978. Often forgotten about his time was that Bradshaw called the offensive plays in the huddle. Certainly a counterargument to those who believed he wasn’t the smartest when it came to understanding the game. At the end of the dayh he’s one of just three quarterbacks in NFL history with four Super Bowl rings. That carries a certain amount of weight that few others have.
