Alabama’s receiving corp is deep, very deep. Calvin Ridley established himself as a freshman, and even beat Amari Cooper’s record for most receiving yards by a freshman. Ridley came on strong at the end of the season, and proved he could be a big playmaker when big plays were needed. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Alabama lost their top receiver last year in their third game when Robert Foster exited the Ole Miss game with a rotator cuff injury that forced him to miss the whole season. Before his injury he racked up 116 yards and two scores, expect him to be a big playmaker this year. They also have ArDarius Stewart who caught 63 passes for 700 yards and four touchdowns last season returning as well.

The rich got even richer when they added graduate transfer, Gehrig Dieter, from Bowling Green who had 94 receptions for 1,043 yards and 10 touchdowns last year. He will fight for playing time amongst a very deep group that also includes Cam Sims, Derek Kief, Raheem Falkins, Daylon Charlot, and even projected top tight end O.J. Howard. A deep receiving corp like that is setting up whoever starts at quarterback up for success.
