The Alabama quarterback position has been a widely discussed topic for each of the last three off seasons and it ended with a transitioned running back leading the team to the playoffs, and a transfer winning a national title. No matter who starts under center Alabama will be fine, despite the fact none stood out at A-Day.

But is that a big deal? No. Whoever plays in the A-Day game is playing in a very vanilla offense against the best defense in the country, there’s no need to overreact to the A-Day stats. At Alabama you just need to be a game manager at the least. Alabama has a talented quarterback room with Cooper Bateman, Blake Barnett, David Cornwell, and Jalen Hurts. Any of them are capable starters.

Not to mention the fact they have an unbelievably loaded skill group to throw to, and the best left tackle in college football guarding your blindside. The receiving corp, headed by Calvin Ridley, will be a major force for the Tide this year and will be any of the quarterbacks best friends. There’s also Bo Scarborough and Damien Harris to hand off to, and one of the better offensive lines in America.
