I’m probably going to get railroaded for this one. However, in the beautiful world that is Sports Journalism, the territory is littered with that type of criticism. Pile it on baby.

For a few seconds, let the saying “Best defenses of all-time” settle into your brain. Commonly, you think of historic units such as the Monsters of the Midway. The Purple People Eaters. The Killer Bees. The 2000 Ravens and many, many more. One of the most interesting debates has been where to rank these historic defenses. In reality, it’s one of the most toughest debates there is when it comes to the sport of football.

In the middle of a long NFL offseason, there is no better time than now to roll back the sleeves and  dig into this developing this list of the greatest defensive units of all-time.
