#26:  Andy Reid (Philadelphia Eagles)

No fan base is so quick to judge in a negative light than the Philadelphia Eagles.  It’s written in their DNA and is something they take pride in.  That’s the only way one can explain how some of them view the era of Andy Reid as a failure.  Yes, okay so he didn’t win a Super Bowl.  First of all, no head coach in Eagles history has and second he has gotten closer than anybody.  The man went to five NFC championship games between 2001 and 2008 and came four points away from upsetting one of the best teams ever in the Super Bowl.

All told he made the playoffs nine times and won at least one game in the postseason seven of those times.  Just three of his seasons had losing records and he finished with 140 wins.  It’s hard not to say that the Eagles made a big mistake letting him walk.  The Eagles have made the playoffs once since he left.  Since he took over in Kansas City, the Chiefs have made it twice.  Gripe and complain about his clock management all day, it doesn’t change the fact that Philadelphia never was better at football than they were under Reid.
